Business Development Manager (Offshore Renewables / Construction Equipment) 

UK Remote

£65,000 – £70,000 (OTE £78,000-£84,000) + Progression + Remote Working 

Are you a commercially driven Business Development Manager with experience in offshore renewables, offshore construction, or heavy engineering, looking for a high-value sales role with genuine earning potential and long-term growth? 

On offer is the opportunity to join a specialist offshore consultancy operating within the fast-growing renewables sector, working with bespoke offshore construction equipment and supporting major global projects. This is a key growth hire within the business, offering autonomy, strategic involvement, and the chance to work on projects worth tens of millions. 

In this role, you will focus on identifying and developing new business opportunities across the offshore renewables and construction sectors, building relationships with major industry stakeholders, and working closely with engineering teams to deliver technically tailored solutions. You will attend industry events, develop strategic sales plans, and play a central role in expanding the company’s market presence globally. 

This role would suit a Business Development Manager, Technical Sales Manager or Commercial Manager with experience within offshore renewables, offshore construction, subsea, marine engineering, or heavy engineering environments. 

The Role

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across the offshore renewables sector
  • Build relationships with customers, partners, and engineering stakeholders
  • Develop strategic growth plans to increase market presence and revenue
  • Work closely with technical teams to align solutions with customer requirements
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities
  • Analyse market trends and competitor activity to support business strategy
  • Fully remote role with international industry exposure 

The Person

  • 5–10 years’ experience within offshore, marine, renewables, or engineering sectors
  • Strong commercial and relationship-building ability
  • Technical understanding to communicate with engineering teams and clients
  • Experience developing new business and managing complex sales cycles
  • Self-motivated and comfortable operating autonomously
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
