£65,000 – £70,000 Basic (OTE £90,000+) + Uncapped Commission + £6,000 Car Allowance + Progression
Are you a commercially driven Business Development Manager with experience in industrial, mechanical, or technical sales, looking for an autonomous national role where you can genuinely build something from scratch?
On offer is the opportunity to join a growing engineering business in a newly created role, focused on driving UK-wide growth across industrial pump and fire pump systems. This is a true hunter role with full autonomy, strong earning potential, and the opportunity to grow into a leadership position as the business expands.
In this role, you will focus on generating new business opportunities, opening doors with major industrial clients, consultants, contractors, and end users, while promoting specialist pump solutions across industrial, infrastructure, water, and fire protection sectors. You will manage your own territory, build relationships from the ground up, and work closely with technical and service teams to support long-term customer growth.
This role would suit a Business Development Manager, Technical Sales Manager or Area Sales professional with experience in pumps, engineering, mechanical systems, fire protection, water, wastewater, or industrial solutions sales.
The Role
- Drive UK-wide new business development across industrial and fire pump systems
- Generate and convert opportunities with contractors, consultants, and end users
- Develop relationships with major industrial and infrastructure clients
- Promote specialist pump solutions including fire pumps and sewage systems
- Manage a mix of field-based meetings, prospect visits, and business development activity
- Work closely with engineering and service teams to support customers
- Remote / field-based role with occasional office visits
The Person
- Experience within industrial, engineering, or technical B2B sales
- Strong new business and “hunter” sales mentality
- Proven ability to win opportunities and open doors independently
- Commercially driven with strong relationship-building skills
- Comfortable managing a national territory autonomously
- Full UK driving licence
