Technical Operations Manager (Gas / Heating / Renewables)

About the Role

£65,000–£70,000 + Performance Commission + Private Healthcare + Pension + Share Scheme + Progression  

Are you a driven Sales Manager or Team Leader with experience motivating high-performing sales teams, looking for a role where you can shape culture, improve performance, and play a key role within a growing business? 

On offer is the opportunity to join a rapidly growing heating and renewable services provider where you will oversee operational delivery, provide technical leadership and support wider business growth initiatives across the South West. Backed by a wider group structure, this is an opportunity to become a key part of a long-term growth strategy.    

In this role, you will oversee domestic and commercial heating operations while helping expand renewable service offerings. You will support technical teams, improve operational performance and build relationships with housing providers, commercial clients and stakeholders across the region.      

This role would suit a Technical Operations Manager, Gas Manager, Contracts Manager, Heating Manager, Service Manager or commercially minded engineering leader looking for long-term progression and influence. 

The Role

  • Oversee domestic gas and heating maintenance operations
  • Provide technical leadership and support to engineering teams
  • Support business growth across gas, heating and renewable services
  • Build relationships with local authorities, contractors and commercial clients
  • Support commercial gas installation and servicing projects
  • Develop renewable technologies including heat pumps and low-carbon systems
  • Support tender submissions, pricing exercises and mobilisation projects
  • Monitor KPIs, compliance and operational delivery performance
  • Recruit, mentor and develop operational teams

The Person

  • Experience managing domestic gas and heating operations
  • Background within commercial gas and maintenance environments
  • Knowledge of renewable technologies including heat pumps
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Commercially aware with operational understanding
  • Full UK Driving Licence
